SINGAPOREAN CAR BUYERS

They often say, the kind of car you drive, often reflects your personality. Here's my two cents on it.

BMW 318: You are brand conscious, social standing and peer competitiveness is important to you. As long as you have something to show, its enough, doesn't matter if you have nothing in the background. (Same for Mercedes C180 buyers)

LEXUS buyers: You want to be different. Setting yourself apart from the mainstream crowd is more important than blending with it. You scorn people who change themselves to fit in.

Toyota Corolla/Vios/Yaris buyers: Strong and pragmatic, social standing and small talk isn't your style. Cost comes before benefit. Inner pride states that you think more than you talk.

Ferrari buyers (singaporean version only):Elitist, egotist, social standing is of the atmost importance to you. Want to ride life on a wave of personal pride as onlookers are filled with jealousy.

Lamborghini buyers: LOOK AT ME! I HAVE A LAMBORGHINI! I'M RICH!

BMW 7 Series and MERC S-CLASS buyers:They want to have their presence felt, because incidentally, buyers of these cars don't have very big families. So what is all the extra room for? These people like to push the boundaries from their office desk. Careful and cynical.

WRX / EVO buyers:Competitive, live for thrill, risk takers and sibei kiasu. They make good workers because they view the person infront of them, as there for the overtaking. Value time and almost never stop moving.

Cherry Q Q buyers:I am practical, pride means nothing compared to money. Everything is made in China these days, so why shouldn't my car? QQ buyers will always get what they want, no matter how stupid they look during the process.

    Wow..

You could start lecturing under sociology and culture at NUS..Im sure they would love to delve into why people buy certain cars; and also find out why lexus, toyotas and evo's make such a big difference in the way we live our lives..Lets see..er 'Sociology of Cars' or 'Cars and men' or just 'Cars'?...the list is long.

And judging by the social economic status of the students in that black hole..er I mean university,
they would glady take you in with open arms!

Not really into cars..but nevertheless a great read! Thhanks dude!

And mish, Suzuki buyers: Forever dubious with sexual innuendos. Kidding. Actually suzuki buyers always try to remind themselves how to be contend with what they have, good things come in small packages
