Came across a teacher's blog
Well basically, the teacher was writing about his schedule from 7.30am up till 5pm, after which he mentions that he has to bring work home to finish up. How he is overwhelmed and doesn't even have time to go to the bank.
This is quite a highly controversial issue actually, teachers feel they are overworked & underpaid. While most teachers can concur with each other on this point, most people of other professions are quite unsympathetic.
A few things for sure.
1) People join teaching to teach, not attend bo liao meetings and do extra-curricular things unrelated to teaching.
2) Many many scripts to read and mark.
3) Put up with unreasonable students & sometimes their parents
4) Long hours...still must bring home work to do....sian
5) Hard to take leave, hard to leave sch during lunch hour to settle personal things.
Of coz, alot of people would point out that they go thru the same things
1) Have to do stupid things like organise company dinner & dance, office parties, occasionally have to do delivery as a dispatch. Basically do things they weren't employed to do.
2) Alot of paper work to go through and boss is never around to get his authorisation for pressing issues.
3) Put up with unreasonable clients, bosses & colleagues.
4) Long hours and still must bring home things to do
5) If got things to do, got MC also must come back. Take leave also hard to get it approved.
So how to compare?? Quite similar actually.
